So, following on from my escapades with the Voightlander Vito CD I did in fact buy a second and created a canabalised working camera. Camera currently being tested with a roll of Ilford FP4 Plus.
To note: the film advance lever did seize again and I found the small brass cover plate on the underside of the meter had fallen off jamming the gearing yet again. Super glue to the rescue! In disassembling the second camera that piece of plastic jamming the mechanism in the original camera was from a strip of plastic supporting the viewfinder when mounted. Oh, yes, and the leaf shutter on that second camera required cleaning.
Still mangaged, however, to get about with the Nikon Z5 and 14 to 30mm F/4.0 lens for some landscape work plus a roll of Harman Phoenix film through my Yashica Electro 35 GSN and a second roll of film (Fomapan Creative 200) through the Zeiss IKON Contina type 529/24.
Meter cover plate found jamming the film advance mechaniism. Super Glued back in place.
Nice clean shutter!
Finally, below are selection of images from the working cameras previously mentioned......
