A month in which the Voightlander VITO CD I'd sucessfully put a second film through promptly seized, I put a third roll of film through the Vito B (f/3.5 lens), trialed a Zeiss Ikon Cortana MkIII and took some expansive images on my Nikon Z5 and 14 to 30mm f/4.0 Nikkor lens combo.
I'll leave the VITO CD details till the end and so to the VITO B which performed well again with a roll of FOMAPAN 200 which is fast becoming a firm favourite. The Zeiss Contina (529/24) also functioned well, exposures with the inbuilt lightmeter seem OK although Ilford ORTHO Plus 80 might not have been the best choice especially as it out of date, only just, but it was all I had at the time.
And the Nikon Z5 and 14 to 30mm f/4.0 Nikkor lens, superb, but then I'm a fan of wide vista's which this combination has no problem in achieving.
So back to the VITO CD. I'm supprised I managed to get a film through it at all. When I removed the top cover I found the film advance lever ratchet paw spring had detached and finally jammed the lever. Also found a small piece of plastic floating around, from who knows where? After some cleaning and resetting the shutter now fires OK. However, I was unable to reset the film advance lever return spring which means I have to return the lever each time manually by hand. Might have another go at getting it to work correctly but for a camera that cost just £10 maybe I'll just get another.
